Nearly all of the 100 tunes in the EATMS tune book (plus loads more) can be found on www.tradirishmusic.org.
See and hear the sheet music in the Myriad Music browser plug-in, hear and download the EATMS recording of the tune, plus links to other resources for that tune elsewhere on the web.
Check out the 'useful links' Tab on www.tradirishmusic.org for a link to a great Irish Music Rhythm Tutor.

Parking is now available in the gasworks yard if you are there at 8pm.
Please note that the yard entrance is on Irish Quarter South and this is now one way street with access from the Albert Road end.

Experienced musicians please note that the sessions are primarily aimed at relative newcomers. You are of course very welcome but please be prepared for tunes being played at a pace maybe slower than you are used to. Having said that, we are confident that the quality and pace of the music played is something that even the most experienced musicians will enjoy.

Re the responses to the item below and singers, can we get a singing tutor for the Music School? Just wondering is there a definition or classification of singer, i.e. a beginner or just learning to sing? Is it how the singer feels or the people who hear them? - Watchhill

Congrats on the new Noticeboard page.
Great to see all the new faces at the January Slow Session in the Gasworks in Carrickfergus. The next SLOW SESSION IS ON FRIDAY 9th FEBRUARY, 8pm - 11pm as usual. You may be pleased to know we are going to try a move into a bigger room as it seems we are outgrowing our usual space.
Our new tune for this month (from the EATMS Tutorial Book), is No.52, THE FOXHUNTER'S REEL . The bad news is that it is a five part reel. The good news is that it isn't too intricate. However if you would prefer something a little less demanding, then I am suggesting No. 17 DARK GIRL DRESSED IN BLUE from the Beginners section. Its a polka. So our full tune list for the Slow Session to date, is as follows: Nos 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,13,16,17,20,21,28,30,34,37,42
,46,52,56,57,58. Practice away at any of these as these are the tunes we will use on the night.
